I Refuse to Participate in the Recession!

I’ve been away from my blog for far too long as I’ve been preparing, enduring and recovering from a minor medical matter.  I’m happy to report that all systems are go again.

I’ve also been away because of a very hectic work schedule which, given the current economy, is a very good thing.

Why am I so busy?  In large part, it has to do with the outstanding group of people who make up my referral network who constantly send new and interesting projects my way.

Despite this good fortune, do you think that I rest on my laurels when it comes to expanding my network or curtail my marketing?  Absolutely not.

I wear a button these days that says “I Refuse to Participate in the Recession.”  I was given the button at a networking event a few months back, but I first heard the phrase used last year by Dr. Ivan Misner, the founder of BNI.  In fact, BNI sells the very same button with this phrase.

“I Refuse to Participate in the Recession” is the phrase that keeps me going while the economic chips are supposedly down.  It is a battle cry, a call to action, a middle finger to the current economy, so to speak.  Where others complain, cut their marketing budgets and reduce their marketing efforts intending to ramp up again when times are good, I’m doing whatever I can to reach as many people while times are tough.

If we all “refused to participate in the recession”, this recession will be over sooner than we think!
