Lakeshore Property Issues: Real Estate Radio Hour Legal Minute, June 2013

Minnesota’s distinction as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” brings with it some interesting issues when it comes to real estate law.  Who owns the bed underneath our bodies of water?  What rights do property owners have in regards to the body of water abutting their property?  These are just a few of the topics I touch on in this month’s Real Estate Radio Hour Legal Minute segments.

As an added bonus, I revisit a topic which is interrelated to issues of water rights.  Given how many Minnesotans own vacation property adjacent to one of the 10,000 lakes, family cabin issues pose another distinctly Minnesotan wrinkle in real estate law.
