The Social Media Lawyer: What is a Social Media Policy and Why Is It Important?

A few months back I set up a Facebook page for my neighborhood.  So far (knock on wood) everyone has been wonderfully respectful in sharing stories, information and updates on the goings-on in our little slice of heaven (as one of my neighbors called our neighborhood). 

Unfortunately, such civility is not always the case.  Peruse the “comments” section to blogs and online newspapers and you may stumble on to some nastiness.  Hence, the need for regulation of these forums.
