“3 And Out”: Gophers Upset USC, Johnnies Keep Rolling, and Tommies Top the Hatters, The BS Show With Bob Sansevere, 10.7.24
Every Monday during college football season on The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, Bob and I devote our 3 And Out segment to a recap of Minnesota’s two Division I teams – the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the University of St. Thomas Tommies – and its best non-Division I team, the St. John’s University Johnnies.
This past weekend was another “3-0 3 And Out.” The Gophers overcame a bizarre late penalty to upset the No. 11 ranked USC 24-17, their first victory over the Trojans since 1955. The Johnnies continued their roll by defeating Augsburg 45-20 (and consequently moved up to No. 3 in the NCAA Division III rankings). My Tommies opened their Pioneer League schedule with a win against the Stetson Hatters after a series of losses to scholarship program teams.
We also chatted about the Vikings’ win Sunday in London against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.
