3 And Out: USA Administers Beatdown to Canada, Gophers & Tommies Hoops Earn Big Wins, and Hill-Murray Outscores Moorhead in OT Thriller, The BS Show With Bob Sansevere, 2.17.25

On Monday morning, it was time for another edition of The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, and that means another of our weekly “3 And Out” segments, covering three stories which Bob lets me pick to discuss.

This week, the theme was “Hoops and Hockey”. First up, of course, was the USA team’s big win over Canada on Saturday night in the 4 Nations Faceoff tournament. With everything going on geopolitically with the two countries, the home crowd in Montreal booing the Star Spangled Banner, followed by three fights in the game’s first nine seconds, this game definitely took on greater implications than just a hockey game, as evidenced by some of the post-game commentary.

Next up it was NCAA Division I men’s college basketball, with the Gophers notching a nice win against USC in their first trip to Los Angeles, and my alma mater, St. Thomas, reaching 20 wins and taking sole possession of first place in the Summit Conference. It’s just a shame that the postseason ban remains in place through this season, as the Tommies would otherwise be looking at a potential NCAA tournament bid. In any event, Tommies men’s hoops is the hottest game in town right now.

We went back to hockey for our final topic, and a big game between No. 1 Moorhead and No. 2 Hill-Murray, which saw the Pioneers earn the upset in overtime, 8-7.

We closed out with a short discussion on the current push to have the Vikings name my good friend (and client), Tommy Kramer, to their Ring of Honor, and I laid out my case for why TK should absolutely be inducted.
