3 And Out: Who’s the Big Cheese in the U.S., Aaron Rodgers to Vikings?, and St. Thomas Hockey Advances to Mason Cup Final, The BS Show With Bob Sansevere, 3.17.25

On Monday morning, it was time for another edition of The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, and that means another of our weekly “3 And Out” segments, covering three stories which Bob lets me pick to discuss.
First up was the results of the United States Championship Cheese Contest, held March 4-6 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. As his listeners know, Bob is something of a cheese afficionado, hence why I included this topic for this week’s show. Truth be told, I had it as our third topic, and Bob opted to move it up to number one, so there you go. This year’s big winner – or “Big Cheese”, if you will – was an Ohio cheesemaker with a big wheel of swiss. This was a victory on par with the 1980 men’s Olympic hockey team’s victory over the Soviets, as the State of Wisconsin tends to win this particular event. A lot.
Next up was the ongoing drama of “will they or won’t they?” when it comes to Aaron Rodgers potentially joining the Vikings, and the factors that might be going in to Head Coach Kevin O’Connell’s decision as to whether to pull the trigger on the former Packer and future Hall of Famer, or to stick with the program and hand the ball to 2024 first round pick J.J. McCarthy.
Finally, we discussed the amazing performance of the St. Thomas men’s hockey team who, despite being barred from playing in the Frozen Four (last year of the postseason ban imposed when the Tommies moved up from D-III to D-I), have the chance to win the Mason Cup Championship, the postseason tournament for the CCHA following a victory over Bowling Green in the semi-finals
