Starting this month, I’ve asked a few colleagues to help with our Legal Minute segments. Up this month is Brent Johnson, one of the ace attorneys in our firm’s Hudson, Wisconsin office. I like to say that Brent is my doppelganger on the other side of the St. Croix; like me, Brent practices in the areas of business and real estate transactions. Even though I’ve been licensed to practice in Wisconsin since March 2006, I cannot underestimate how great it is to have a resource like Brent just a phone call away.
Our focus this month is on Wisconsin real estate law; in particular, some areas that are different from Minnesota (such as foreclosure law and community property) and an area of interest to many Minnesotans: owning Wisconsin lakeshore property.
