Real Estate Investment with Self-Directed IRA Funds: Real Estate Radio Hour Legal Minute – February 2013

This month’s Legal Minute segments cover one of the hottest topics in real estate investment today; namely, the legal issues involved with using your IRA funds to acquire investment real estate.

I have been involved in this area of real estate law for close to five years now, having been directed there – albeit reluctantly at first – by a number of savvy clients.  Since that time I’ve taken the time to study up and learn the ins and outs of this very complex area, culminating in my authorship of a comprehensive article on the topic.

Additionally, I will be participating in a Real Estate Radio Hour investment seminar on Tuesday evening, February 12, where I will be discussing the use of self-directed IRAs to acquire real estate and taking questions from attendees.  Details can be found on the Real Estate Radio Hour website.

  1. Thanks for the share! I have been doing some extensive research into investing my self directed ira into real estate and was wondering if you had any referrals for possible custodians to my account. Any suggestions?

  2. The two custodians I work with regularly in Minnesota are Nexus Direct IRA in Plymouth and Union Bank and Trust in Minneapolis
