The BS Show, 5.1.23: My Thoughts on Minnesota Cannabis Legalization, and More

On Monday’s edition of The BS Show, Bob and I discussed the adult use cannabis legislation which has now been approved (albeit in slightly different forms) by the Minnesota House and Minnesota Senate. In particular, I pointed out that the issue is not whether it is safe to end the legal prohibition of cannabis, but whether can cannabis legally remain on Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act due to its having a medical benefit (I argue that it cannot). Once you establish that, it’s game over.

We also discussed an ugly confrontation on the floor of the Minnesota House, and the DFL majority’s refusal to condemn their member who initiated the confrontation, instead doubling down on their support.
