“3 And Out”: Falcons Get Wrist Slap for Cousins Tampering, Minnesota PWHL Draft Pick Gets Heat for Social Media Posts, and Twins-Wild Uniform Chatter, The BS Show, 6.17.24

On Monday morning, it was time for another edition of The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, and that means another of our weekly “3 And Out” segments, covering three stories which Bob lets me pick to discuss.

This week, it was more like “5 And Out”, as two of our topics had an “A” part and a “B” part.

First, it was NFL news, with the Atlanta Falcons getting a slap on the wrist (in the form of forfeiting a 5th round draft pick and paying a fine) for tampering with former Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins ahead of the free agency period earlier this year.

Next up, was controversy involving Minnesota PWHL draft pick Britta Curl, whose past social media posts “didn’t fit the narrative” so she had to, of course, apologize for her wrong think. That dovetailed into a conversation about WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark, who when asked for her thoughts on being used to advance an agenda, she responded that she didn’t pay attention to it…and then walked those comments back. Again, wrong think.

Finally, we talked uniforms. Namely, the Twins’ “City Connect” uniforms that debuted Friday, which incorporated Milwaukee Brewers colors and a hint of the “new” Minnesota flag, and the Wild having to tamp down a rumor that they were going to permanently adopt the green and gold colors which formerly belonged to the North Stars.
