Tuesday Media Blitz aka “Being the Lawyer Extraordinaire Isn’t All Hams & Plaques”

Tuesday, July 2, 2024 may go down as “”a date which will live in infamy” in terms of my media exposure…or after today, some might call it overexposure.

It started with Episode 25 of the Start a Brewery Podcast dropping right around midnight. Taped from my hotel room two weeks ago while I was in Green Bay, Wisconsin for the State Bar of Wisconsin Annual Meeting & Conference, I joined Co-Hosts Laura Lodge and Candace Moon (aka the Craft Beer Attorney) and another brewery lawyer friend, Brooke Bristow of Bristow Beverage Advisors, to talk about the issues involved with purchasing an existing brewery business vs. starting a brewery from scratch.

Next up, at 7:00 am I was on the phone with Robbie Rosenhaus, who was ably filling in for regular host Jon Justice, to talk about the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in the Trump v. United States case regarding Presidential immunity from prosecution for official acts.

Around 9:30 am, I was on the phone with Peter Callaghan from MinnPost to discuss the Attorney General’s motion to dismiss our homegrown cannabis case for a story that he dropped on Wednesday.

Then, at 11:00 am I did a Zoom interview with Fox 9’s Corin Hoggard, again on the cannabis case. Corin was kind enough to put my ugly mug back on television again as well; specifically, the 6:30 newscast.

And then it was back to work.
