Jon Justice in the Morning, 12.6.23: SCOTUS To Decide What Is “Income” For Purposes of Paying Taxes and Fate of Sackler Family Liability for Opioid Crisis, Minnesota Cannabis Official Leaves…And My Thoughts on “Avatar KISS”

I was in studio with Jon Justice on Wednesday’s show for the second half of Hour 2. We discussed what will likely happen in U.S. Supreme Court cases involving what constitutes “income” for purposes of paying Federal taxes and whether the settlement negotiated relative to Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family as to their role(s) in the opioid crisis will be deemed “illegal.” We also briefly discussed the latest on cannabis in Minnesota and beyond, and we ended with me offering my thoughts on the news that my favorite rock band since the age of 13, KISS, is going to go “digital” for future concerts, in the form of avatars.
