The BS Show, 6.26.23: Warroad Fights For Its Mascot, and Former Gopher Doing Good in Liberia
On the June 26 edition of The BS Show, host Bob Sansevere and I discussed the efforts of Warroad (MN) High School to seek an exemption from the State’s new law banning nicknames which incorporate Native American names and imagery in them, on the basis of Warroad’s very unique history as to how it arrived at the “Warriors” nickname.
We also discussed Lavelle E. Neal III’s recent StarTribune column featuring my good and friend, Thomas Tapeh, and the work that the former Golden Gopher and Philadelphia Eagle running back is doing in his native country of Liberia with a coffee growing operation.
