Walz Sued Over “Emerging Farmer” Preference Law, and Could The Outcome Impact Minnesota Cannabis Licensing? Jon Justice in the Morning, 1.31.24

On Wednesday morning, I called in to Jon Justice’s morning show to discuss a recently filed lawsuit against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen, in which a white farmer alleges discrimination in a grant program which gives preference to “emerging famers.”

You can listen to our discussion, including my thoughts as to the implications which this case might have on Minnesota cannabis licensing matters, here. NOTE: Producer Robbie went with the Gap Band as intro music as opposed to my now trademark KISS music, so in the clip you’ll hear this rectified with the opening notes to “Rock Bottom”, from 1975’s Dressed to Kill album. You’re welcome.
