“3 And Out”: Newgarden Goes Back-to-Back at Indy, Caitlin Clark vs. the WNBA, and MLB Integrates Negro League Stats, The BS Show With Bob Sansevere, 6.3.24
On Monday morning, it was time for another edition of The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, and that means another of our weekly “3 And Out” segments, covering three stories which Bob lets me pick to discuss.
This week, following the Memorial Day hiatus, we discussed how the WNBA seems to be self-sabotaging while letting its players brutalize rookie Caitlin Clark (who is the reason for the growth of the WNBA brand), and Major League Baseball’s integration of Negro League statistics into overall MLB statistics, which has led to players like Josh Gibson getting their due. We also discussed Josef Newgarden’s historic win at the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500, a thrilling victory which took place in the wake of Newgarden dealing with penalties for a cheating scandal and which wound up with his signing a contract extension with Team Penske.
