“3 And Out” – Women’s College Sports Headlines, The BS Show, 3.18.24
On Monday morning, it was time for another edition of The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, and that means another of our weekly “3 And Out” segments, covering three stories which Bob lets me pick to discuss.
This week’s segment covered a series of “hot” stories in women’s college sports; namely, the Gophers women’s hockey team losing in four overtimes to Clarkson, thus ending their season short of a Frozen Four appearance, ESPN assigning a beat reporter to cover Iowa basketball superstar Caitlin Clark through her journey at the NCAA tournament, and a lawsuit filed last week by several female athletes against the NCAA for Title IX violations related to the NCAA allowing biological males to compete in women’s college athletics.
We also touch on the Gophers men’s basketball team accepting an invitation to the NIT tournament (other schools declined), while two of their former coaches – Dan Monson and Richard Pitino – have their teams in the NCAA tournament.
You can listen to our discussion here.
