“3 And Out x 2”; The BS Show, 10.23.23/10.30.23
Every Monday during college football season on The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, Bob and I devote our 3 And Out Segment to a recap of Minnesota’s two Division I teams – the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the University of St. Thomas Tommies – and its best non-Division I team, the St. John’s University Johnnies.
For the past two Mondays, I’ve been out of town with the fam, as our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Poppy, was participating in the North America Diving Dogs (NADD) National Championship in Springfield, Missouri. Not to fear, because in the immortal words of the late great Freddie Mercury, the show must go on. And so, Bob and I recorded our October 23 segment with me standing in a parking lot in Urbandale, Iowa, and the October 30 segment was done with me in the bowels of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex.
You can listen to the October 23 segment here, and the October 30 segment can be found here.
To sum up the past two weeks of our three featured teams, the Gophers upset Iowa to bring Floyd of Rosedale home to Minnesota, and the followed up with a home win vs. Michigan State. St. Thomas got back on track and notched two wins, but likely will be looking up at a new Pioneer League champion this season, and St. John’s find themselves on the D-III playoff bubble after a shocking loss to Gustavus.

Oh, and as for Poppy, while she didn’t make the Finals, she did come home with her Dock Senior Advanced title!!
