The BS Show, 10.2.23: 3 And Out – Win, Win Win
Every Monday during college football season on The BS Show with Bob Sansevere, Bob and I devote our 3 And Out Segment to a recap of Minnesota’s two Division I teams – the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the University of St. Thomas Tommies – and its best non-Division I team, the St. John’s University Johnnies.
This past weekend, a goal line stand on the final play preserved the Tommies’ win over Dayton. In doing so, St. Thomas has now defeated every team in the Pioneer League at least once. Meanwhile, the Johnnies fought off a surprisingly tough Augsburg team and is now in the driver’s seat in the MIAC, but upcoming opponents Concordia and Gustavus should not be taken lightly.
Meanwhile, the Gophers, fresh off their embarrassing fourth quarter collapse against Northwestern, and with Coach PJ Fleck complaining about a lack of NIL monies, beat Louisiana – that’s Louisiana, NOT Louisiana State – for a rather easy homecoming victory.
For those of you counting, that’s three wins this past weekend.
